The Complete Sherlock Holmes series, so far, is my favorite series and Arthur Conan Doyle my favorite author.

Holmes is such an eccentric character to read about. He and his colleague and friend Watson work together, facing crimes and dangers and solving mysteries after mysteries to save those in depair while condeming those who commit evil. Full of intellect and mystery, follow Holmes as he discovers clue after clue to find the villain and help the victims. I love the way Sherlock Holmes has discretion and is so observant and knowledgeble. It just goes to show you how cool the author is!

While some of Doyle’s stories can be frightening, others are lighter and more spirited. One of Doyle’s ingenious mysteries is the following story — The Blue Carbuncle. When the Countess of Mocar’s precious and rare carbuncle goes missing, everyone knows it was not an accident. A balance between the innocent and the guilty thief who, as always, is defeated and proved cowardly. As I can’t spoil this wonderful mystery for you. Stop by your nearest library or bookstore and grab a copy.

The collection is ideal for 5th grade and up. Some stories can be a bit scary so be sure to have your parents check the stories first.
