Super Cute Undercover Agents Episode 3: The Eiffel Tower, Vandalized

Click, click, click! Snap, snap, snap! Adira, Auristela, and Kassiopeia were standing in the midst of a swarming crowd that had gathered around the most popular tourist destination in Paris, France — the Eiffel Tower.

The air was filled with incessant chatter and the sound of smartphones rapidly snapping away pictures. Usually, this would be normal, but today was different. The Eiffel Tower had been graffitied. And it wasn’t a small, blend-into-the-background kind of graffiti; it was huge!

The graffiti read, “I am uhsum!” in bad spelling. It was in gigantic, colorful letters that covered an entire side of the Eiffel Tower diagonally.

A huge crowd had gathered at the base of the tower and they were buzzing with excitement.

People snapped hundreds of pictures and were instantly sharing them all over social media on Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, and YouTube.

Dumbfounded, Parisians and tourists exchanged quizzical looks and asked each other, “Who did this? Who’s behind this?”

SCUA headquarters had informed the supercute agents of the situation. The girls flew immediately to Paris.

When they arrived at the crime scene, the crowd was so densely packed that they could barely squeeze between thousands of passersby gawking at the graffiti.

The girls grasped each other’s hands and used their superhuman strength to push through the crowd.

Though they attempted to look for clues, they finally decided that it would be better to come back in the late evening when the crowd died down.

They pushed and shoved their way out and walked to a nearby cafe to recoup from the ordeal. They stopped at 142 Crêperie Contemporaine cafe best known for their savory and sweet crepes.

“That was delicious but my sweet tooth still isn’t satisfied. Let’s go find a patisserie,” suggested Adira.

They went to Pierre Hermé, located at 72 rue Bonaparte, 6th, off the Saint-Sulpice metro station. The chef/owner is known to be a pastry genius who handmakes luxurious creations that satisfies the eyes and the taste buds.

While the girls enjoyed their famous macarons, bon bons, warm pain au chocolat, and eclairs, the girls chatted about the case.

They spent the afternoon sightseeing.

They thoroughly enjoyed getting lost in Musée du Louvre. The lovely paintings, sculptures and endless wings of precious history.

Then they made their way to the Arc De Triomphe, Notre Dame de Paris, Sacré-Cœur, Musée d’Orsay, and other breathtaking Parisian spots.

After an exhausting day of sightseeing, the girls went back to the Eiffel Tower at half past midnight.

A few young people were still lingering, but the crowd from the day had dissipated.

The girls investigated for clues, but so many people had been there that all they could see were mounds of piled up trash on the ground.

The girls flew up using their SCUA-issued jetpacks, hovering near the side of graffitied Tower.

They examined the marking and determined that it was regular spray paint, but there was something unusual. There were speckles in the paint. Upon further examination, the girls found traces of crumbs.

As they were examining the entire graffiti, careful not to overlook anything, Auristela spotted something below. She noticed a trail of tiny, colorful crumbs leading down a dark alleyway near the base of the Eiffel Tower. She swooped down on the evidence like an eagle catching a prey.

Auristela called from below to the girls to come down.

When Adira and Kassiopeia caught up to Auristela they found her examining what looked like macaron crumbs. Excited, the girls knelt down to examine the evidence closeup.

“Hmm,” she mused. “They’re the same crumbs that we found in the spray paint!” The girls could see that the bright-colored crumbs led further down the dark alleyway of the nearby residential structures.

Adira suddenly prompted, “Hey we should collect the crumbs for evidence!” The girls stood up, slightly turning their backs, to reach into their backpacks for evidence bags, when the Kassiopeia faltered, “Um, guys. The crumbs are gone!”

Auristela and Adira whirled around. “What!?!” Adira cried in dismay. “They couldn’t have just vanished!” Auristela muttered in disbelief. “Maybe we accidentally brushed them away or something,” Kassiopeia whispered in a hopeful tone.

Frustrated, Auristela muttered, “We needed that evidence! Now it’s gone!”

The girls staggered down the alley, frantically to search for the missing crumbs on the ground. They searched everywhere — manhole covers, sewer openings, edges of buildings and doors. Nothing!

Kassiopeia, in a tone of defeat, declared, “It’s obviously gone. There’s nothing we can do.”

“Since we’re in France, known for delicious pastries, let’s go get a midnight snack somewhere.”

Just at that moment, Kassiopeia turned around and caught a glimpse of a hooded figure backing into the shadow of a nearby building.

“Hey, you!” yelled out Adira. The shadowy figure immediately dashed around the corner. Without hesitation, Adira ran after the man.

Auristela and Kassiopeia followed in hot pursuit. When they turned the corner, they saw a bright flash of light, almost blinding them. In an instant, the shadowy figure and Adira disappeared into thin air. They were gone.

“Adira, no!!!” Auristela desperately cried out for her friend. Just then, the ground underneath their feet opened up and suddenly they were falling. Kassiopeia screamed, “Somebody help!!!”

Their voices could be heard trailing off into a deep, dark abyss.
