Ginger Pye

Ginger Pye

Ginger Pye is a playfully written story. This is a cute book about two children and a smart, loving pet named Ginger. It’s about an amazing dog who finds a special place in everyone’s heart.

The cast includes Rachel and Jerry Pye, the three year old Uncle Bennie, and Mr. and Mrs. Pye. Rachel is so persuasive; she’s capable of taking crazy ideas and positioning them as sound, rational requests. Jerry is the responsible older brother who wants to become a rock scientist when he grows up. Mrs. Pye is the town’s youngest mother at age 18. Mr. Pye is a bird expert and is apparently old enough to be his wife’s father. Uncle Bennie, though his title is misleading, is only a three year old still carrying around his “Bubbah”, but still nonetheless Rachel and Jerry’s uncle by relation. And last but not the least is Ginger, the ever loyal and loving dog.

Jerry has been thinking hard about getting a puppy. Will Gracie, the cat, be jealous? Jerry figures that Gracie should be open to a friend… he hopes. He makes up his mind that he will buy Ginger, a brilliant and of course irresistibly cute puppy at Speedy’s barn. Jerry just needs one dollar to make the plan work. Jerry and Rachel work hard to earn their precious one dollar to buy Ginger.

The day finally comes when they are able to pay for the puppy. Ginger quickly becomes the heart and soul of the Pye house with his clever smarts and puppy charm.

Rachel and Jerry realize that Ginger is being watched by someone, someone who is scheming to steal him! Ginger is stolen but eventually is reunited with his dear family. It’s a wild, fun story about love, loyalty and hope.
