Slender and as pretty as a picture, my mom bends over the stove with a concentrated look on her face as she sautes veggies for dinner. Her black hair with hazel highlights falls over her headband as she works. Mom wears a turquoise blouse, white shorts, and a yellow apron. A spatula in hand, her dark brown, almond shaped eyes focus on concocting the perfect dish. My mom is a hardworking, kind parent. She finally finishes and invites my brother and me to taste-test.
