Angel Whetstone is a 24-year-old trailblazer ready to conquer the world each day. Originally from Winter Park, Florida Angel began her coaching career at the age of 18 as the student assistant for a Division II institution. After two years, she became an assistant coach for the 2015 Florida High School Athletic Association State Runner-Up; putting herself on the map as not only an exceptional young coach but also an individual who could help student-athletes develop on and off the court. After graduating from college Angel went on to complete her Masters in Sport Management at Texas A&M University. While in College Station, Angel worked as the Volleyball Operations Intern and was the Head Coach of the Texas A&M Women’s club basketball team. With the club team, Angel secured a 21-4 record and won 2 championships in the inaugural season of Women’s Club Basketball at Texas A&M.
Now Angel returns as an alumna where she was a Rollins Royal, Fiat Lux Recipient, Find Your Anchor Award, Peter Bonnell Award, along with other accomplishments to continue to pursue the legacy she left. All while encouraging student-athletes to become emerging student leaders on campus as the Director of Basketball Operations.
